TRW's SHI2 family of inflators offers advantages in side impact airbag safety systems.  The flexibility in package size and the ability to deliver warm or cold gas allow it to be tailored to individual customer and market requirements.  The SHI2 is able to fill a side airbag system from 6 liters up to 60 liters.  This technology can also be adapted for knee airbag applications.
