The Asia Pacific team is headquartered in Shanghai and has other regional offices and distribution facilities in Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. The key focus of the business is brakes. The business offers TRW branded, all-makes, friction and hydraulic programs for European and Japanese vehicles together with Lucas branded electrical products. The markets of Southeast Asia and China, in particular, offer enormous growth potential. To exploit this, TRW is developing a full aftermarket programme from sourcing, through logistics and warehousing to IAM customer development and added value services. TRW Automotive Chassis Systems has made a number of strategic investments throughout the region and as these develop, they are creating VM Service opportunities which are rapidly being pursued by the Asia Pacific Aftermarket team.
