Pipe Fasteners and Hose Bands
TRW Automotive designs its pipe fasteners and hose bands to improve passenger comfort by reducing the vibration and noise introduced into the car interior as a natural by-product of the car's operation. The vibrations and noise are associated with the pipes used in systems for power-assisted brakes, power steering and air conditioning. The right fastening system can go a long way toward damping down these movements and sounds.
Seal Plugs
TRW Automotive presents a full range of plastic and metal seal plugs for all kinds of assembly needs. The plugs, fitted with either a plastic melting ring or an expandable sealer, are guaranteed to provide a tight fit. TRW's durable seal plugs function well and are easy to assemble.
Pressure Relief Valves
More than 100 current vehicle types around the world are fitted with TRW Automotive air pressure relief valves. These valves offer integrated, one-way air flow out of the vehicle while excluding the ingress of rain water, spray and fumes. TRW Automotive coat hooks and assist handles, for example, provide the same holding power as the screwed-in variety, but can be assembled faster and inexpensively because they use a clever new clip design. Another cost savings is the option of pre-assembly to the headliner -- and tool-less assembly means no risk of damage to the vehicle interior.
A hinged version of grab handles features noiseless return to position, thanks to a new design of the damping feature.
Lampholders and Small Lighting
TRW Automotive's use of modular construction means it can develop solutions for customers' special lampholder needs quickly and inexpensively, without expensive tooling. TRW Automotive's assemblies range from small lampholders to the complete side indicator. All lampholders are produced using fully automatic assembly with totally integrated quality control.
