The TRW Active Control Retractor (ACR) is designed to use braking and stability control sensor data to sense a potential collision. If a potential loss of control is sensed, the system removes seatbelt slack to help better position the occupant in relation to the vehicle's airbag systems. The next generation ACR 2 is lighter, smaller and more cost-effective without sacrificing performance.
