Systems integration enhances fuel efficiency and reduces emissions.  Quite simply, fewer components equal lighter weight.  Electronics is a key lever for many integration opportunities, especially when combining functions and reducing the cost and number of Electronic Control Units (ECUs).  For example, replacing 30 Electronic Control Units (ECUs) with five domain controllers reduces weight by 7 kg, which is equal to fuel efficiency savings of 0.4 percent!
