Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
TRW is building on its innovative driver assist product portfolio by adding a traffic jam assistant stop and go functionality to its Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system. Using the ACC long range radar, Traffic Jam Assistant allows the ACC vehicle to follow a target to stop and upon driver command follow that target in traffic jam situations. Stop and Go uses additional short range radars to cover a wider field in front of the ACC vehicle. ACC Stop and Go permits the ACC vehicle to automatically follow its target in a traffic jam situation.

Traffic Jam Assistant follows the target vehicle to a complete stop. It then allows the ACC vehicle, upon driver command, to follow the target at a comfortable distance in traffic jam situations.
