High Performance Calipers
To address increasing requirements for greater brake output and improved NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) performance, TRW has developed two caliper designs – one of which, the `FBC`, has been in production since 2007. Both designs fit within the environment of a conventional brake caliper package while providing greater torque output. The calipers are made of aluminum or composite to achieve the lowest weight possible, and they include features that assist in reducing residual drag.
TRW's `FBC` Caliper offers the following features:
