TRW has developed one of the world's best-performing and lightest weight actuation systems, the Girvac Actuation design. The design uses a tie-rod that allows for efficient absorption of pressure from the booster leading to enhanced performance. The tie-rod design also enables the booster shell to be much thinner and lighter compared to many competitive designs.

The booster and master cylinder product portfolio covers a wide range of vehicles, from small cars to truck and SUV platforms. These systems can offer enhanced packaging and a reduction in weight, with aluminum master cylinders as a standard through to heavy-duty master cylinders for the durability and variable loading conditions of light-trucks.
